It’s a rich and varied journey that led me to be a massage therapist.

I followed a traditional course of study to become a mechanical and design engineer and I also have a master's degree in business management. And with those two diplomas I worked in the aeronautical industry in Toulouse for 10 years.

At some point, little by little, I no longer felt in the right place. And in the end, I rather felt in contradiction of values on what I observed and experienced on a daily basis compared to how I wanted to live my life. Which is quite a classic story nowadays. The feeling of loss of meaning had become very strong. So I naturally asked myself what my path could be and I started to explore, to seek, to experiment. The answer did not come immediately, it was built gradually, punctuated by practices and meetings.

Passionate about mountain hiking since my childhood, mountain guiding quickly became a second activity on the side of my industrial job, on weekends. It was fulfilling, enriching, what my job wasn’t bringing to me and it allowed me to connect with myself, with others and with nature. I was supervising or leading groups on hikes in the Pyrenees (the mountains between France and Spain) as a federal initiator within the FFME (French Mountain and Climbing Federation) from 2010 to 2020. This year of 2010 was also the year I discovered and began to regularly practice Ashtanga yoga and meditation, which also changed my life somehow.

Still an employee of my company, I followed a training in Schutz method, the Human Element, by the American psychologist Will Schutz. During a visualization exercise, the desire to give meaning to my life by helping others presented itself simply, intensely, obviously. It was a crucial moment both for my personal progress towards self-knowledge and for the course to set in terms of professional development. After that followed my resignation letter to my job at this time, and then trainings, many trainings… and even more workshops and encounters of both people and techniques. Mainly in yoga teaching, psychology coaching, hypnosis, and of course massage and bodywork.

I would actually like to take a few lines to give special thanks to some of those fundamental people I met, as they have truly been so inspiring in my change of life:

Ryan Spielmann, an inspiring yogi both in his way of teaching and in his way of being in life.

Colin Brett, one of my Coaching tutors, for his truly inspiring approach in helping people and for his kindness.

Clare Soloway and Spencer Barron, who facilitate the Satori retreats and Yoga of Relating groups that have been a profoundly important part of my journey of transformation on a personal level, but which of course impact all aspect of my life.

Andrew McGonigle, my anatomy teacher, who planted the seed of massage therapy in me.

And the last one I’ll mention here, because I can’t list them all, Satyarthi Peloquin my Myofascial Energetic Release (MER) professor who changed my life on many levels, really!!

So back to my storytelling now, To make it short, after I resigned I gave yoga classes, which I did for 5 years. I actually don’t teach anymore for various reasons which would be too long to describe on this page. And I was also facilitating workshops and doing coaching for managers, which I did for 3 years, I also don’t do this activity anymore.

While I was busy with my first two activities, I started training in massage at the beginning of 2018, kind of in the continuity of my yoga teaching, to help my students to relax more in their body and mind. I started by training in wellness massages at first, one technique leading to another and I ended up learning more than a dozen of spa techniques.

It was good and I loved it but I wanted to go further. So I trained in deep tissue, based on American techniques and approach, as an extension of the Swedish massage. The latter being in some way the basis of massage techniques to put it simply.

But that wasn’t enough somehow and I was in search of an approach that would bring together body and mind to have something more holistic to offer let’s say. And I wanted to use my trainings in psychology coaching too along with the massage cause I felt there was something very interesting to explore there in the combination of these fields. And for that, I had the chance to meet Satyarthi Peloquin and his Myofascial Energetic Release (MER) technique which was a revelation. I very quickly fell in love with this technique, both for the change it brought to me in the way I approached bodywork and for the deeper and more lasting benefits reported to me by my clients who already knew my work. So I followed his teachings for 3 years and became a certified Myofascial Energetic Release practitioner.

Finally, to complete my knowledge, I wanted to explore the energetic aspect of the meridians, so I began to follow the tuition of Ms. Wang in Toulouse with the academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Although this approach is very interesting, I do not offer TCM or Tui Na sessions strictly speaking because for me it is more of a helping tool in my toolbox than the heart of my approach and the work I want to do and offer. As you might have understood already I dedicate my practice to MER (Myofascial Energetic Release ) mainly, as well as classic relaxation massages of course for those who wish.
